The tooth-colored resin materials many dentists use to fill cavities nowadays tend to contain Bisphenol-A, which is a controversial chemical that disrupts the body’s endocrine system. As an endocrine disruptor, it has been linked to depression and anxiety. Bis-GMA is the product of bisphenol A and glycidyl methacrylate that undergoes polymerization. It is used as a bond implant material, as well as the resin component of dental sealants and composite restorative materials. Bis-GMA has been used for most dental fillers for more than a decade now.

VOCO: BPA & BIS-GMA FREE
